Dandelion Wine: Recipe makes 1 gallon

Found: 6/30/2004 pg 92 "A Naturalist's Guide to Cooking with Wild Plants" by Connie and Arnold Krochmal.

3quarts boiling H2O
3quarts Dandelion flower petals
6cups sugar
2oranges, sliced
2lemons, sliced
1pakage dry, active yeast

Pour the boiling water over the dandelion petals. Cover, and let set for 4 days. Strain, and discard the petals.
Combine the liquid, sugar, oranges, and lemon, and boil gently for 20 minutes. Pour into jug, and let cool.
Disolve the yeast in 2 tablespoons lukewarm water, and add to the cooled mixture. Cover and let set for
5 days.
Strain, bottle, and allow to age for 1 month before using.

dude, is that Mesa ave? what road is that, I've probably been there. you know I was the sausage king of the greater Phoenix area for a summer.
I delivered sausages and hamberger paties for Denmark Sausage for a summer down there.
