Well it was the second time in my riding career, yes i was hit by a car tonight, i went down to see nate, bw3's to get some wing sauce for a guy i work with, and to the n-zone ( my regular hang out), on the way home i stopped by don raskeys house to see if he was home or not but he must have been on his way home from platte helping jp. so i was heading west on superior (bike path) towards 180. i even had my turbo cat light on, the "walk" sing was in my favor, i rang my bell, and even yelled but i still couldn't get the b.u.s.s. stopped in time, i was going down hill at that point so i was heading pretty fast, a honda coming off of 180 on to superior just kept going (turing right on red) and he never looked to see me, i did everything i could to stop but going over the bars to miss him. first thing i did getting off of the ground was to check my front wheel and make sure it was true. that's all i was worried about, they pulled over on superior to ask if i was ok i said " just keep going " one other girl stopped on the off ramp of 180 to see if i was ok..... scott Posted by Hello

first thing i did when i got off of the ground was to check my front wheel, it was fine, but if it was fucked up i would have had to do some ass kicking. the handel bar poked a hole in the grip and my lever was kinda bent from hitting the top tube. i think i might have messed up the front of there car... like i care about that..

cvo... still want to golf tonight if its not raining ?

Ah man, I know how it can be.

Back about 92 I was haulin ass down 17th street, and caught an air in front of the gas station at 17th & Q (old Pizza shuttle, now Samari Sam's) but I launched over some grass, landed on the sidewalk and went flying into the crosswalk. I saw the light turn yellow...orange, so I decided to haul ass across 3 lanes of traffic. The first lane was a van, he saw me and didn't go, the 2nd car was a Honda Accord. He pulled out from behind the van and I smacked into the side of his car launching out of the pedals, taking out his rear view mirror with my knee as I launched my body onto his windshield turning to absorb the impact with my back and side. I slid down his windshield to his hood in the fetal position as he braked. I layed on his hood for a couple seconds before I opened my eyes and couldn't believe I was still alive and nothing was broken. I looked up and at least 10 cars were stopped at their now green light and everyone was looking back at me wide eyed. I grabbed the bike and went to the curb. The handle bars were crooked but luckily it was a cold day and I had a lot of clothing on for padding so I only dinged up my knee when I took out his rear view mirror. I smashed his windshield pretty good with my body, the guy was kinda pissed. Cops came and I told them what happened and they wrote me a ticket for "Negligent Bicycling" I proceeded to ride home afterwards. I had to go to a S.T.O.P. class for it. They said I was the first person to ever have to attend a S.T.O.P. class for negligent bicycling. Insurance ended up paying for the guy's damaged car. All in all, too funny.

Well, earlier I said I have never been hit by a car, well that's true. But I have hit a car on my bike though.

Back when I worked at yia yia's in the early 90's I had pool table green hair down to my chin. It was sweet. Greg and Spuck from Delux had just given me my first roadbike the Austro Diamler. I could have it if I built it up with a bunch of parts they had laying around. (they were the coolest)
Well during state Vollyball, or basketball or some shit like that I was leaving work at Yia Yia's after a few beers and heading right down centenial mall towards the parking garage there. You got 4 lanes of traffic, the parking lane was full, and the next lane was stopped to turn into the garage. I'd only had the bike about a week so I was still getting used to it. Man that thing was fast. Going from a mnt bike to a road bike, (you guys know what I mean)
Anyhow.
I didn't quite make the turn at speed and fly into a brand new mustang convertable. my knee took out the brake light, my pedle went through the quater pannle, and my head dented the shit out of top. I roled off into traffic and just laid there.
The driver started freaking out. "are you ok, oh my god my car." I roled my bike to the corner, and thought about, shit I don't have insurance, shit I'm going to jail. shit I've gotta get outa here. The driver just kept yelling, someone call the cops.
I got back on the bike and got home as fast as I could.
never heard anything about it ever again. didn't leave the house for two days.

and that's my bike - car story.
